- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If utilizing a pizza stone, position it within the oven to ensure proper heating.
- In a spacious bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes until a foamy consistency develops.
- Incorporate olive oil, flour, and salt into the yeast mixture. Mix until a coherent dough forms. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the prepared dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and permit it to rise for 30 minutes, or until its volume has doubled.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions. On sheets of parchment paper, roll each portion into a large oval shape, then carefully trim or sculpt the top edge to form a heart shape, using either your hands or a knife.
- Distribute half of the tomato pizza sauce evenly over each heart-shaped dough base. Sprinkle generously with dried oregano and garlic powder.
- Layer shredded mozzarella cheese over each sauced pizza base. Arrange halal pepperoni slices in a visually appealing pattern. Optionally, add thinly sliced red onions and bell peppers as desired.
- Carefully transfer the pizzas, still on their parchment paper, onto the preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust achieves a golden-brown hue and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Remove the baked pizzas from the oven. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, then slice and serve immediately while warm.
