# What You Need:

→ Marshmallow

01 - 12 Peeps marshmallow candies (any shape or color)

→ Chocolate Coating

02 - 7 oz semisweet or milk chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
03 - 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother coating)

→ Decorations (optional)

04 - Sprinkles, crushed nuts, or colored sugar

# Steps:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking.
02 - In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler on the stovetop.
03 - Insert a skewer or toothpick into the base of each Peep for easy dipping (optional).
04 - Dip each Peep into the melted chocolate, turning to coat fully. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
05 - Place the coated Peeps onto the prepared baking sheet. Immediately decorate with sprinkles, nuts, or colored sugar if desired.
06 - Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until firm.
07 - Remove skewers if used. Serve or package as gifts.

  • Room temperature chocolate sets with a nicer snap than refrigerated, though the fridge is faster if you are pressed for time
03 -
  • Keep a dry kitchen towel nearby for chocolatey fingers and inevitable drips
  • If the chocolate thickens while dipping, add a few drops more coconut oil and stir gently
